We are pleased that Singapore Law Watch has published our Counsel Danny Quah’s article titled “Civil remedies for identifying and injuncting hackers in Singapore”. This article was first published in the Mat 2020 issue of the Thought Leaders 4 FIRE magazine. As cross-border fraud is becoming more and more widespread, particularly during this Covid19 period, it is imperative that the law keeps up to ensure that fraudsters do not get away; and that claimants have the legal tools that they need to recover their stolen proceeds. We hope to see the first “Persons Unknown” injunction being deployed in the Singapore courts soon. A link to Danny’s article can be found here.
