Providence Law Asia promotes Kenny Lau to Director

We are thrilled to announce that Kenny Lau has been promoted to the position of Director at Providence Law Asia LLC. He will be co-heading the firm’s Fraud and Asset Recovery practice with our Managing Director.

Kenny has significant experience in handling complex commercial and corporate disputes, having advised and represented a wide range of clients including multinational corporations, financial institutions, and high net-worth individuals. Kenny has an active practice in the field of fraud and asset recovery, and regularly works with international firms as instructed Singapore counsel in the enforcement of foreign judgments and international arbitration awards.

Kenny graduated as the valedictorian of his class from the SMU School of Law, and represented the University in an array of domestic and international moot court competitions. Kenny’s team advanced to the World Championship Round of the Jessup Moot and he was ranked in the top 20 individual oralists globally. Prior to joining Providence, Kenny served as a Justices’ Law Clerk in the Supreme Court of Singapore for 2 years where he assisted the Chief Justice of Singapore, Justices of Appeal and Justices of the High Court in myriad areas of law.

In 2022, Kenny coached SMU’s Nelson Mandela Moot team to victory (a first for SMU). He also coached the Asia Cup Moot team to successfully defend their title as champions.
