The global fallout from the “crypto winter” and its legal implications were recently considered by the Singapore Courts.
In its recent decision of Re Zipmex Co Ltd and other matters [2022] SGHC 196, the Singapore High Court offered guidance in relation to the legal implications of insolvencies of crypto companies. Such insolvencies often involve companies with operations across various jurisdictions, and correspondingly entail the involvement of large numbers of creditors whose interests may be affected.
